That’s a lot of rainbow, especially considering space has no atmosphere - somewhat famously, I might add. An interesting design choice
I only saw the first one in theater, and I was so damn young, all I really remember of the experience is some of the exterior shots. But, considering how young I was, that’s still a telling thing about how well it was done.
Those exterior shots really stuck with me as well. I can’t imagine growing up with blurry spaceship models viewed on a CRT tv to the giant, sweeping, detailed close up and wide shots we get in that opening shuttle scene. Now people laugh about how long it goes on for but I have to imagine for a lot of fans it was still not long enough!
Those popcorn and drink uniforms! I’ve been cutting down on my mindless collecting, but I’d totally eat and drink out of those for a month if I could get one.
I know! I hate that I want them…
I decided I’m going to go to one of these but can’t decide which!
the one with WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALES
I forgot about that scene! Must be in the director’s cut.
Yeah, but not Star Trek V because some things are best not remembered 😆
Didn’t you read the press release? It says “classic Star Trek” specifically 😅
It’s crazy that Star Trek V was once considered the worst Star Trek film but is now universally considered among critics to be the greatest movie of all time.
Um… whut? I think you misspelled either IV or VI there as V (/s:-P).
It’s ranked above Citizen Kane now
Hold up now, that’s Galaxy quest erasure! 🤣
