But within hours of its release players noted that long-standing bugs were still present alongside new ones and, worse still, upscaled in-game assets showed clear evidence of AI retouching.

The backlash has led the publisher and the original developer to delist the game from sale and even promise to “reinstate the original game while we investigate the issues”.
