A glitch in the EA Sports FC 27 video game, which saw some women’s players appear in their underwear, will be resolved by a title update, the game’s manufacturer Electronic Arts has announced.
EAFC27, part of the world’s largest football video game franchise, was released in the United States and worldwide on September 25. Users with early access to the game, which went live on September 18, reported that some women’s character models would, in certain cut-scenes, appear without their kits, wearing only black underwear.
Honestly, game asset designers can go a bit overboard. If the job is “create the base model for this character, clothes will be added as separate model/texture as it needs to be swappable”, they’ll do exactly that - a nude model with full details because who knows when we’ll need it.
