I liked the first two seasons but bounced off the third pretty quickly.

Maybe once I finish watching The Expanse for the first time I might give SNW another shot

Was this the one that was flirting with cancellation after season ~3?

I haven’t really watched ST shows for awhile, but did catch a couple of these and thought they were really good.

Ah, okay. So that’s going to be it unless perhaps there’s a surge in ratings or something.

Btw, is that James Bond playing a Vulcan as your avatar? oO

It’s Canadian acting icon Callum Keith Rennie (possibly best known as BSG’s Leoben) playing a Kellerun.

He does have some Daniel Craig energy, though.

Sadly, the chances of a last-minute renewal are nil at this point - the sets have been dismantled.

Yep. This is the last hurrah of this cycle of trek. After this 1.5 seasons of SNW and Starfleet Academy’s last/second season, that’s it.

I always figured the “secret” plan for SNW was to transition into an original series reboot. And I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s still on the table and that’s why SNW is getting to sail off into the sunset. But it also seems likely that the appetite just isn’t there anymore for that sort of thing (or maybe, as I do, some exec just doesn’t think it’s a good idea).

Happy to see it coming back. There was a ton of Trek stuff happening for a while and then nothing for the last 1-2 years outside of the animated stuff.
