For me it’s hard to consider discovery as even star trek. It was like a weird cartoon where half of the time was spent on plot holes and half of the time on people asking other people how they feel. It was like most modern shows that are made for people watching it while doomscroling on their phones.
Except for discoverys aspect for care for mental health, I really don’t understand what it was about. The characters were always acting so illogical and weird.
Maybe it’s again time to make a Star Trek show that is about modern problems that are solved with wit and diplomacy, a show thats not going to always try to 1-up itself and become a bizzare comedy because of it.
I adore SNW, but honestly, “always trying to 1-up itself and becoming a bizarre comedy because of it” seems like a better description of it than it is of Disco.
