If Amazon didn’t pick up The Expanse it would’ve been cancelled at the point it was. I haven’t read the books, so I can’t say how well/poorly they followed the source material, but I enjoyed that it got the extra seasons.

Or just re-enter the story from a different point of view. The SGC sends another team to Destiny, we join whatever is left of the old crew, and they spend some of the first episode talking about the stuff that happened off-screen during the time gap.
If you’re good at what you do, it’s not hard at all. Doesn’t even feel like work. The one thing it takes from you is time. Long long days, time away from family. It’s wonderful but it’s a doozy of a price you pay
It was the best of times, it was the blurst of times!?
Do you have any tips for writing professional documentation? I want to do some for my workplace but it’s hard to know where to start, how to arrange it, etc
Me too, especially because I love Commandos. Timekeepers doesn’t have even half the amount of elegance in its level design. Half the enemies are standing still facing the wall with no-one else around; at that point why bother placing an enemy there at all?
It’s mind boggling that this was originally supposed to be a single release game. Ok, so they blew past the deadline, and they made the interesting choice of releasing half of it, with the rest free later. At some point they must have realised that can’t work because then they are just spending more money to get the game finished after they’ve already taken profits. So now they’ve come up with the idea of season passes in the hopes that one day the sales will catch up to development costs. But they are doing so badly that the rest of the first game needs beta testing? The second half that was supposed to be released for free in April? Sucks to be whoever invested capital in this project.
“many moons ago, when the sun was low in the sky…”
We call eastern coast time AEST
Well sort of. They are mostly constellations as seen from Earth
Just in case you were thinking about “Cold Lazarus” with the yellow sand, that was actually all practical. It was filmed in the sulphur piles in the Vancouver bay docks.
Have you seen the film Dark Star? Bomb number 20 gets stuck in the release bay with the detonation countdown still running, so they have to spacewalk out and convince the AI not to explode.
To be fair, milk at the back of the store is better to keep the milk cold from getting out of the truck and into the fridge.
I hope the second part comes with an overhaul of the first, but I doubt it. It’s actually not far off from being an ok game that’s worth paying for.
It’s definitely a shame. The fact that they are essentially making a genre clone (Commandos/Desperados/Shadow Tactics) meant that they had so many successful examples to pull from. It really just feels unfinished, but I guess they were against the wall and needed to release something to keep the accountants happy.
The upsetting thing is that this and every other failure to make a Stargate game just makes it that much more unlikely for a good one to be made. The fan game Stargate Network was shaping up to be really good, but at the time that Timekeepers began MGM sent them a cease and desist. This game essentially killed a much better game that was in development.
It’s a shame. So much potential, rarely utilised.
Has anyone else here play Timekeepers? Did you experience any problems like I did? What were your thoughts?
Well, yes and no.
The cartouche was a formal record hall, just like we see in real ancient Egypt. This is decal work, and I believe we have never seen the Stargate glyphs used as bling before.
Stargate has a huge potential for a video game, but they always seem to fail.
I haven’t seen .hack yet, but it’s on my list.
Paprika. I haven’t used anything else aside from having a folder of word documents.
Paprika allows you to copy/paste the URL of a recipe and it will download only the recipe. No more scrolling through a blog and a dozen ads looking for what you want. You can then create categories and tag recipes for any combination of categories.
It also has extra functions like meal planners, pantry inventory, and shopping list generators based on the meal plan and pantry, but I don’t use those.
It syncs between devices. The only real downside is you must purchase per platform type. If you bought the windows licence and you want it on your phone you must separately purchase the Android licence.
Stark made the suit with no help. He doesn’t need a specific suit because he has the skill to invent whatever he may need.
At this point, Peter can’t make himself a suit like that, so if he is nothing without it, he can’t respect the power it brings. But he isn’t nothing without it, which is what Stark is trying to teach him: not to rely on power of others.
