The original is 4:3 ratio for the CRTs you see in the SGC, but I made a 16:9 version for my lock screen. enjoy.
Man, I’m not even sure it’s possible, but it’d be so cool if this could be tied into a pin unlock for the computer. As you type your pin (or password, I suppose) it fills in and locks the chevrons
It must include Sergeant Harriman saying Chevron one encoded…
I’m sure some Linux nerd could figure it out. I avoid doing most of that custom desktop stuff in case I break something. There’s some software that does that that… What’s it called? Rain meter?
Do not tempt me! i3lock and Swaylock already have a somewhat similar circular pinentry indicator that lights up random segments as you type. Swaylock-effects can use a static image as background, and maybe I could get it to draw active chevrons instead of segments.
Rainmeter yes. I recommend downloading it and playing around with it. You can’t really break anything playing with rainmeter. I’ve not been able to find anything on Linux that’s as simple to use.
But… but… no chevrons are locked on your lockscreen. Other than that, awesome. 😄
Idle.
I stare at this while I wait for an incoming traveller. You know even if it’s night time here, it could be day on another planet. A team could be coming in hot any minute…
Anyway, want some coffee?
Awesome! Thanks for sharing
