I may be biased. I started in s4 and then went back to watch everything. I had no idea who Yar was and then didn’t like her acting. Her reactions to things seems forced. Her character had a rough upbringing but how the actress tries to portray it felt disjointed to me. The same for when she was trying to be attractive in scenes. I felt like she didn’t know how to act. And then when she was made to play a Romulan omg. She was terrible.

I was fine with the character but hated the actress. She was an old crone and didn’t mesh into the ensemble IMO. The same for Natasha. Her acting chops were simple subpar.

Again, you keep making this about me going and finding better movies. Stop. That is NOT THE POINT. You keep trying to come off like you are magnanimous but it’s incredible smug of you.

I do not have to do anything. It’s not about me finding better movies. I don’t have to look for anything. If Theaters don’t want to become blockbuster they are going to have to change their practices.

People are not going to movie theaters. They are too expensive for what you get. It’s simple economics. If the product is not worth the price, people don’t want to buy it. You can tell me to go watch better movies all you want but that completely misses the point of the original conversation.

If the MAJORITY OF PEOPLE don’t want to watch what is showing then you have a problem. Telling me to go watch b movies or to find better ones is so asinine.

Why don’t you all get togther and make a kickstarter for films, to go around the big corporate structure. Some sort of non-profit film studio that’s devoted to creating creating great scripts and funding their production.

Yep, people like going to a show. It’s a simple equation of cost vs reward. As the other response mentioned, movies just aren’t worth 20 bucks plus 15 for food. They aren’t good enough. For 7, I would totally go.

They are falling for the same logical missteps that cable took. Losing customers = rate hikes. Pushing more away leading to more rate hikes. Instead they should be lowering costs and finding ways to encourage people to come back
