Still there is the issue, that recycling plants seem to pollute their surroundings with microplastics by just washing the plastic
Obviously recycling is good, but with plastic it seems we’re not in a place to handle it reasonable in any way…

I don’t have different plastic recycling bins, but only one.
Where in Europe do you have different ones?
Never have encountered those, at least I didn’t realize it (in Spain, Portugal, Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland - although with some countries I’m maybe not completely up to date)
Yeah, but then I’ve a web exposed service and I want keep a low profile as possible with what I’m exposing. So I guess as long as there aren’t many users to manage, wireguard (or a tailscale configuration) could work out for OP
I’ve setup wireguard, because it’s only me and an employee using the services. But with that, externally I don’t even seem to have a port open. But wireguard is so fast to be online, that I’m just always connected as soon as I’m online - using a domain and an IP update script
I find it much more insulting that he took a whole nation for fools
Edit: but fortunately you’re right about all his failing projects.
AFAIK the Hyperloop thing was just a push to postpone investment in public transportation until Tesla has some market dominance and be proposed as better green solution than public transport
I think Thiel is worse for the world. Elon musk is more show and shine - and crumbles spectacular anyway
The band or the type of current? Or both? Oo
Pixel 7 Pro on GrapheneOS
No issues. Been using Firefox on mobile and especially Linux since ever
Also thanks to the EU forcing the manufacturers (of smartphones at least) to go for the same standard
Thanks, will check it out!
Edit: just started the first pages and it reads great!
Thank you very much for the recommendation :-)
Any good book recommendations?
I’ve just started reading more since a month or so as well, but I’m having trouble finding good books - especially sci-fi stuff
I read the children of time books (2 of 3) and although the idea is cool, the writing style and also the (later) story itself isn’t really good.
So I’ve looked into the Foundation series from Asimov. I started with the prelude and went on to the second book, but after Dune it feels very shallow and somehow written like an action movie (with easy/stupid solutions)
Isn’t really the thread topic, but if your have any good books in mind, I would really appreciate it :-)
Wireguard, as only a handful of people need access to the services, I manage it manually - and not with Tailscale or something similar.
With that my server looks nothing like a server from the outside, as I’m exposing nothing - Wireguard doesn’t even show up in a port scan
Yeah, we tested our PA system at an exhibition in Atlanta with some songs and a colleague put in a song about anal sex. We were nearly kicked out of the whole thing, although pretty much no one of the workers was there anymore and it wasn’t even open to the public yet.
So yeah, cooperate America really seems to be more than just prude
Yeah, so what’s bad about that?
Do you smoke your crack from a bottle cap?
;-)
Which also seems to hide one owns posts/comments, even in the profile view - at least that was the case for me
I’m currently hosting a wiki.js
you can either use markdown or a visual editor
well, that’s not my fault, when they don’t want to host post with links to useful information
why not directly link to the Lemmy post as a source?
Did you answer the wrong guy?
Yeah, I absolutely do get that and didn’t say anything against it
I just never saw them anywhere in Europe and would be interested where and how that recycling works.
