In think ‘shrewd’ is probably the word, even if using it ironically.

I had the identical reaction. Thanks OP for posting this repellent screenshot. So glad I changed my defaults.
I sense a back story
The graphics still impress me. It’s like the effects in Jurassic Park in that, while the overall tech has improved by leaps and bounds, the execution is so good that it still dazzles.
This is the perfect description.
Highly relevant when topically adjacent to woodworking.
I hate to say this, but it’s almost better at Fallout than Fallout.
I’ve played all the Fallout games, my wife has played none of them. We are both enjoying it quite a bit so far, at least two episodes in.
I am quite enjoying it so far, to be honest. The completist in me would slog through the first season even if I didn’t enjoy it though.
Keep in mind, though I’ve been immersed in sci-fi all my life and I’ve definitely seen Star Trek shows before (and all the pre-Abrams movies), but my expectations to this show are largely set by pop culture.
Relative to those expectations, I was really surprised not far into the first episode by how thought-provoking it is. The character of Q was about t as far from (my expectation of) a Star Trek ‘villain’ as I could have imagined.
I’ve never been a big Trek fan, preferring to align with Star Wars in the false choice between them.
However this past weekend, I bought a Raspberry Pi box, and an 8tb hard drive, and the first thing I pirated was the entire first season of TNG.
I propose we call this “doing a Lemmy”
I generally sort by everything:12 hour and feel that I get a pretty good and relatively ‘clean’ cross section of the content.
Well we’re all benefitting from it by sharing in your mild infuriation. Thank you for your service.
Did you have one epically infuriating shopping trip spread out across multiple posts or are parking lots part of your beat?
Give me your top 5 shoe gaze albums, for calibration, and also because I love recommendations.
Unbelievably, I’m playing (and enjoying) Fallout 76 after avoiding it for so many years of following it’s travails from afar.
It’s buggy in all those Bethesda ways that are almost comfortable in their familiarity at this point, and it’s got a lot to explore. This can tide me over until Starfield is discounted and improved.
Also been playing Teardown a bit, which has a really cool look and feel. Hyper-real except a voxel universe, if that makes sense. Lots of fun to destroy the environment.
There is so much promise of back story baked into this comment.
This comment brought the word GROUPWISE thundering back from the depths of my lower consciousness, where I had worked so hard to relegate it.
This is in danger of happening to me.
I bought 7 Days to Die about a week ago and put it on my Steamdeck right before a transcontinental flight, and since I started it on that flight, I haven’t played much of anything else.
I don’t know why but it’s kind of perfect for me right now, right between Ark and Project Zomboid and I feel like I have a lot of control over the pace of the game. Its nice.
