Cool stuff. I prefer the cli myself, but I might show this to my team.

Self hostable is nice; less privacy risk and more power to the individual. Open source is kind of amazing. This is the way.

That is impressive! The pandemonium halls can be downright harrowing, so I think you will beat hell easily. I don’t recall ever seeing that message, it must be new since the last time I beat the pan halls long ago.

I disagree. Being able to choose which llm features I want is a win, and being able to use a local llm to translate language is better than sending data to Google to do that.

Funny, I went the opposite direction. I wanted one source of truth for all my devices.

For 2fa, I highly recommend 2fas – it is free, open source, available for web and mobile, and it’s interface is smart. Lots of 2fa apps are stupid, Google auth included. Authy is especially stupid. Bitwarden also does 2fa, and it’s super convenient because it adds the code directly to the clipboard usually.
For notes, consider obsidian.

Arcadium 3: Space Odyssey - I’ve been playing the phone version. It’s a horde fighting survival game set in space - you pilot a spaceship to harvest planets, buy items, and fight aliens to level up, unlock missions and ships, and acquire artifacts to help you survive better. The developer has 2 other space themed arcade games.
Probably the main benefit would be funding Mozilla, so we aren’t all total serfs in Google’s fiefdom

True, but the outlay of cost for the hardware was higher than the value of Bitcoin you would receive.

bitcoin mining hasn’t been profitable for a long time. Like, a decade or so.

S tier: kdeconnect, m.a.l.p., VLC, firefox, bitwarden, Simon tatham’s potable puzzle pack, farebot
A tier: maxima on android, ankidroid

Arcadium 1 is about as linear as it gets. Its kind of like that game Aero Fighter from the 90s, mixed with Space Invaders. Just shoot the aliens and dodge their shots. On the way, there are gems and power ups that can make your future forays more rewarding.
This is a mobile game – it’s available on iOS and Android.

I suspect the real reason they are doing this is to condition the students to accept oppressive and unjust surveillance in future workplaces.

chrome, the android os and platform and all the apps therein. I mainly use firefox, but some things only work in chrome.

This would have been helpful in, like, 2014, but better late than never I suppose. Interestingly, a recent skeptoid episode covered a similar topic

bluesky is not that great. I can’t recommend it.

Oh, no! Billionaires with short term, selfish thinking might lose money! What a tragedy.
If you have an android, there are two games that did a great job with 2d space combat and trading - spacerpg3 and spacerpg4. 3 is definitely inspired by EV Override, while 4 is very much its own thing.
I have played all of those except for Ur-Quan. I didn’t like the combat or trade mechanics in Naev, but the storyline and the planet art is cool. I played endless-sky a lot, but at this point I just want to see the main storyline for it finished, but that will have to wait until MZ has the time to dedicate to it again. I have starsector, but it looks more complex than I would like.
I’ve been saying this. These fucking capitalists are so god damned stupid. They can’t see past their own profit projections.
