I keep seeing job posts that have requirements like “must be excited about AI tools”. If the shit was good people would be excited on their own.

I thought it was pretty okay.
I think I might be old and grumpy but I find myself saying “just talk about your feelings!” at the TV a lot in this show. But I guess they’re all basically teenagers, so it would be unreasonable to ask a level of emotional maturity that many real life adults fail to meet.


I think I said this before, but a problem is when someone says “I don’t like star trek: discovery” it’s impossible to know if they have reasons beyond “i don’t like black women”. They might not even know themselves! And if they do, they’re unlikely to come out and say that. They’ll reach for something more acceptable like “I wanted self contained episodes” (but DS9’s arcs are cool) or whatever.
There are so many duds online they’ve poisoned the well of discourse.
Furthermore, if you are being paid the same but your productivity goes up, and the owner keeps all the new profits, you’re being robbed.
