If that eclipse had happened about 25 years earlier … it would have been a permanent eclipse
Lol … you can bypass the Windows restriction by deleting the System32 folder
It’s a proprietary platform … what do people expect?
It’s visiting someone’s business and you are in their property and you are watching TV on their TV set. You are reading newspapers and books that are on their property. And everyone acts surprised when the property owner keeps track of what you watched and what you read on their property.
You have no rights to do anything on their property … other than the rights they give you, which they can also take away, or just kick you out.
I’ve been working at organizing a bunch of stuff I’ve been collecting over the years … data, writing, lists, ideas, whatever … I kept using all sorts of services, apps, websites, cloud services and all sorts of crap to maintain them all but eventually it all becomes too complicated and breaks down.
I’ve since discovered just using simple text files and services that just use simple text mark down … no special service, nothing proprietary, easily transferable and interoperable.
I started looking at websites the same way … I don’t care what it looks like, I just want to read the information … you made it too hard for me to read your simple text info? You’re asking me to turn off my ad blockers and turn on Java script? All to read 200 words on your site? I’ll skip it and move on to the next site that will allow me.
It’s the age old model of tech companies … which basically follows the old model of companies before the modern tech and digital age … once you heavily monetize any product or service, the product or service eventually becomes secondary to the main goal of making as much money as possible.
Companies haven’t changed no matter how technological and modern they are … we still want to do the OOGA BOOGA thing of … “take thing, make money, who cares what thing does”
I haven’t seen all of them yet (half way through season 2) but right now I’d say
William Campbell
In … The Squire of Gothos … and also appeared as Klingon Captain Koloth
His acting and persona is equal parts lovable and hateable … the kind of guy you could be friends with while also wanting to stay away from as much as possible.
The other guest actor that I felt the same about was
Roger C. Carmel
In … Mudd’s Women … and later in … I, Mudd
We definitely aren’t ready because we’re actively raising a Degenerate AI
Beautiful work
Just fill it all with characters from Star Trek and Star Wars
A neat option would be to randomly fill any information requests every single time it’s asked for.
The browser could just feed every website and service with just constant random information the entire time you’re online.
McConnell’s brain waves endanger other systems with runaway random viruses
Same here … there is more than enough content on the internet as a whole … if I run into a site that gives me a hard time to see or read any of their content, I just turn it off, close the tab and restart my search or go somewhere else. I’m not wasting my time to accommodate a dumb website that doesn’t want to easily show me something I can see elsewhere … and if I can’t see it elsewhere, then more than likely, it wasn’t worth seeing anyway.
Worf stepping on another one of the captain’s badges.
Vacuum machines starts whirling really loud … rumbles … starts smoking … shuts down
Tears apart the unit and discovers six Captains com badges in the hose

The only motivation she has to return the cart is that she finished her shopping and forgot to buy six cases of a cheap off brand coffee that is on sale at the Costco she just left.
Makes you look stupid for not returning yours
