You might want to check out Vendure . Haven’t used it so I can’t give my opinion on it but generally I have heard good things about it.
The other option would be Wordpress + Woocommerce like others mentioned.
Wait isn’t there something called Hydrogen framework by Shopify. I thought it ran locally.
Many thanks. This is exactly what I wanted.
I would trust a Matrix client like Element / Schildichat over Signal and Telegram. But if we are only considering the latter, I would pick signal (like many other comments have mentioned).
Trust doesn’t matter if no one uses these platforms to message you.
I persuaded my friends into trying other messaging platforms but they ended up flocking back to Whatsapp because their contacts are not on Signal and definitely not on Matrix. Also normies may find Element/Matrix difficult to use. Almost all of them have Telegram accounts and believes it’s more private than Whatsapp, also apparently they use it as a content downloading app than a messaging app.
Its a meta search engine that you can configure. It’s also selfhostable.
I wish fairphone was avaliable in some Asian counties at least.
Thanks. I am aware of other instances, but my friends and family don’t understand the point of it. Anyways… I’ll see if I can get them to try other instances of Jisti.
This is indeed sad news. I made my friends (who don’t care about free software) switch from google meet to jitsi for video calls just the other month.
The only thing that got them sold on jitsi was that it required no login.
If you don’t play games like valorant, and only need windows for specific tasks then going with a windows VM is a good option.
They do have similar themes but the video I linked clearly has more explicit visuals.
Adults may see it as normal, but I certainly don’t want my kids to watch videos like WAP and get normalized to the such visuals and nudity.
Youtube should properly age restrict videos based on their visuals at least.
I’m sure you understand what I’m getting at.
Ah I remember the good old days.
You could try Proton, but I am not aware if they are offering any online office web apps.
Oh no… I just bought a domain for my friend from there, only a few months ago.
I should’ve used namesilo or porkbun instead.
I actually meant music videos like Cardi B’s WAP which is not even age restricted in Youtube.
I was talking to my friends about the same topic yesterday and they didn’t seem to bothered by it.
On a different note, even some music videos that are coming out these days have really suggestive content and Youtube puts this shit right in the front page (for a not signed in session).
We live in a world where people are getting too used to messed up stuff.
To avoid recommendations, I just use invidious.
I don’t think this feature will be anything like reddit or lemmy. But I do see what they are going for.
Unless they have something like AI powered moderation, it will turn into a shit show really quickly.
I have tried Buyvm when I was getting into selfhosting during the pandemic.
They were pretty cheap too, not sure about the pricing these days but you should take a look.
