organice is front end that runs entirely in a mobile or desktop browser that allows you to access and edit org files easily with a touchscreen or mouse and keyboard. It obviously doesn’t have full org mode functionality, but it does a have a calendar view.

All you have to do is navigate to https://organice.200ok.ch in your phone’s browser and then pin it to your start screen. The PWA is downloaded and you can now access a remote webdav server with the locally saved front end of organice. No data is sent to organice, the only function of the website is to give you an easy place to download the PWA to your device using a web browser.

I love love love love org mode, it is just simple yet so powerful and there really is nothing else like it, I can’t really recommend anything else in good conscience here, especially since most other options (except for logseq https://logseq.com/ which I am not sure does everything you want?) are commercial and who knows what the hell will happen when the company goes out of business or is bought out by someone else?

I recommend Spacemacs or Doom emacs as a nice starting point for emacs, or you can just start with basic emacs and build it yourself as org mode is included in the default distribution of emacs.

An additional thing to think about, there is an android release of emacs coming up, so org mode might get much more accessible on the go in the future!

Huh, weird, you know I seem to only have “technical issues” about understanding how in capitalism you have to actually purchase the products you take from shelves when I am exiting Walmart stores.

Once I get near the door I just get all of sudden get confused about thinking that Walmart must be a government run care facility, I mean taxpayers subsidize Walmart’s entire workforce because they don’t pay a living wage to any of them, can you really blame me for my confusion?? Sometimes I end up thinking crazy thoughts like Walmart wants me to take some things for free because they feel sorry for obliterating the local businesses I used to frequent in my community (and the associated good quality jobs).

Sometimes confusion gets the best of us I guess, we are all fallible people including Walmart™ which as we all know, is indeed a person.

Those “ruined” products handily control huge chunks of the market. So from that perspective, they’re not “ruined” at all. They’re perfect.

They control the market because Google, like most too-big-too-fail massive corporations, buys out any serious competitors and uses its dominant size to destroy the threat of competition before it can actually challenge them to make better products. Yes Google isn’t a monopoly in any of its industries but it doesn’t need to be since most of the large competitors they face are thinking the same way they are, why fight when we can enjoy our cake and do nothing?

Just because google products are widely used doesn’t mean they are good, it means people think they are the best option or can’t be bothered to switch which is a very very different thing.

I understand that, but they aren’t even that functional at doing that. They have ruined their products so much that it is threatening the ad value of the ads they sell I imagine. Google search is awful now and there is a very real chance people will stop using it for the first time in like a decade.

I don’t understand why google is still worth so much money, they are a trash company that really isn’t trying to improve any of its products. It just periodically threatens its workers with job cuts and continues to serve up crap to its customers.

Some conservative idiot with a camera in front of them called Star Wars too woke and then was like “that is why I like Star Trek”…… which obviously indicates they had no idea about the basic aspects of Star Trek.

Yeah I have one of those, it works pretty good for mining doubloons and is pretty nice all around except that every time another computer gets near it, my pirate computer has these little cannons that come out of the side vents and BAM it starts firing volleys. Can’t play LAN with other friends or anything it is annoying, I am kinda worried it is gonna find out about my smartphone and attack it too.

I have never understood how these pathetic replacements of cultural holidays with sales days at a basic level are even slightly believable from the consumer side. The whole point of 99% of sales is to get people in the mood to buy things they otherwise wouldn’t be thinking about buying at that time…. but people are already the most in the mood to buy shit on black friday or cyber monday they will be all year… which makes it the absolute least sensible time to actually offer genuine discounts on items. It would be like a restaurant putting happy hour later into the evening when the restaurant is going to be packed anyways.

The whole “clearing out old stock” or “getting into the black” explanations don’t really make any sense either in a modern, internet based world where companies always have access to a willing market for used or older goods if they set the right price.
