This is fairly common for tech jobs, asking for more experience than is phisically possible. Theres a whole sub about shit like this on the old site.

Hi, I’m the creator of /r/baduibattles, and one of the mods of [email protected] if anyome here would like to submit terrible UI here
Frequently repos say “git clone [repo url]” which i think is enough for most people to copy and paste. I’m a programmer and usually I just click things in my IDE to do git work for me so I’ll agree its not an easy thing to use.
Step 1) Download the LLM with git
Well, fuck we should have known that this requires a masters in computering. Dude these comands are easy, literally copy and paste. The instructions are literally handholding you to run it and thats still to complicated. Also who makes furry porn with a Large Language Model?
My old man told me he took one programming language in college and it was APL. Having looked at APL since becoming a software dev myself, I can understand why he hated it.
It’s just so gross and hard to read
It’s been awhile since I’ve seen any of the movies.
Oh great, Skynet is actually the US millitary.
I’m sorry we’re like this.
Yeah, theres shit like the battle of blair mountain that everyone should look into.
Hey, my fellow 'Muricans, we actually took up arms here for our right to have a living wage
Yeah, this might be it. For anyone not aware, every browser on iOS is just safari with a different skin and some plugins to work with whatever ecosystem you actually are trying to use.
Writers intent is sometimes enforced and sometimes not. Ammendments 4-8 are all about criminal rights so it’s very clear that the founders were very concerned about people being accused/convicted of crimes, yet today you can’t be searched without a warrant unless the cop doesn’t like you can can come up with a lie saying he’s sure you were doing something illegal.
I was recently tasked with the traveling salesman problem on a project. My first pass was quick but produced sloppy inefficient results. Well boss didn’t like it so he had me go back at it again so it would be far more accurate. Well now it slogs through figuring out an optimal solution of several thousand points.
See, it’s this trying to be overly friendly nonsense I hate about JS. If you need semicolons, demand them. Don’t make it seem like you don’t then make your code break because it hudes that you do. My first orogramming job was at large multinational japanese motor company and they had a hard rule over no in house exe’s or opensource software. So the compromise was doing everything in JS. JS refused to listen to me on doing a single threaded for loop, just run the loop, wait a moment, run the next one, wait a moment…
JS, don’t help me, just do as I say
I’m so glad you guys remember that sub. I miss the silly things you guys made.
Yeah, I’m in the IT dept (companys conatantly flop between throwing software into engineering, IT, or its own dept) and the other day, 5 minutes before I leave for a week long vacation a user comes up and asks if we’re ignoring her.
Outlook is constantly asking for a password to one of the emails she uses. She doesn’t know it and keeps clicking close on the popup. So she sends an email, FROM THE ACCOUNT SHE IS LOGGED OUT OF, to helpdesk a few days earlier.
One of my followers got giant hammered and sent to space. My only reaction was “My stuff”.
I was looking into self hosting. What can I do to avoid dealing with this? Can I not cache images? Would I get in legal trouble for being federated with an instance being spammed?
Yeah 76 is pretty rad and based now. There was an actual dialog I had with an NPC who wanted me to go find gold and I was telling them this unquenchable lust for money caused the whole damn apocalypse in the first place.
The C&H people don’t fucking pull punches and I love it. A few weeks ago when elmo rebranded twitter he asked people for a new logo and a C&H artist replied with the confederate flag
A few years back I remarked that Linus always came off like a bit of a douchebag. I was at the time heavily downvoted, but holy fuck. This is worse than I expected.
My first like real programming job, in 2019, version control was “download the project from the share drive, update the code, then add your new code back to the share with todays date in the folder name”.
Everyone, except 1 dude liked SVN or mercurial, wanted the boss to just get us on git. It became the general standard for a reason. None of us liked the version control system we had, but HDD space was cheap so the boss wasn’t that concerned.
