After ten years of being able to only carry my iPhone, it felt like quite a regression going back to carrying my wallet after I got a Pixel and put Graphene on it. That and not having face unlock any more made me feel like maybe I’d made a mistake. But I got over it soon enough.
Be aware that if you fail the ID check for Curve (which I somehow managed to do) they’ll essentially just ghost you without offering the opportunity to try again. I’ve tried a few times to get someone from their customer service to help me sort it out, but it always fizzles out after a couple of messages.
As an alternative, I use Monzo with a Garmin watch. It’s not perfect because I have to transfer any money I want available from my bank to Monzo, but once I’ve done that it’s easy enough to access on my watch. All in all, I mostly carry my bank card in a magsafe wallet, but it’s handy to have payments on my watch in a pinch.
I might look into Lidarr. Currently, I have a folder in SymcThing that my server monitors, so any audio I drop in there automatically gets moved to my Navidrome folder. It works well enough, but is a little clunky.
Navidrome serving up my 200gb library from home, via Tailscale, and all it cost me was the music that I bought* over the years. Oh, and a fiver for Symfonium on my phone. But Feishin is free on my computers.
Then I worked out how to redirect it through the VPS I use for my website, and now I have my own streaming service. It’s pretty sweet.

iPods are still out there, and you can still buy parts to mod them. Mod a 6th gen iPod Classic with 500gb of flash storage and a new battery, and you need never worry about another music player. You can even wedge bluetooth into them now. And a USB-C connector.
There’s always Loops.
I’m currently addicted to The Planet Crafter, where you start with about 30 seconds of air before you have to duck back in to your landing pod to refill your tanks.
But before long you’re exploring the surprisingly large map, gathering items you need to terraform the planet and build increasingly huge bases. I’m about to hit mammal-era, where I’ll be able to craft mad looking alien animals using a DNA manipulator. But most importantly, you can craft a screen that displays your stats, and when you’re in a groove, number go BRRRRR.
It’s basically No Man’s Sky + Minecraft, and it’s great.
