lol, fuck off. Strange New worlds has a diverse cast and is a wonderful show. Lower decks, same thing. It’s totally doable. If you’re referring to something a la Discovery, the issue is poor writing for a typical Star Trek show, not that it has a diverse cast. Stop being a snowflake and watch some reruns if you can’t handle where society is going. “Can you believe I was made to look at a black person, an Asian, a GAY, AND a woman in a position of authority? It’s enough to give me the vapors!!”

This is the best answer. In that there isn’t a single answer. Totally depends on what you like as a person.
Some are wrong. TOS is a very good show. It’s a genre you have to enjoy though. Not liking something is completely different than it being bad.
That’s not an open ecosystem, that’s just a yet to be closed and monetized system.
I really wish they wouldn’t continue to grow the cast. We’re starting to get into game of thrones levels of simultaneous story arcs. The original core cast was so good.
