I would love to learn and use Rust but I’m a embedded systems guy. Everything of consequence is C and C++.
Having cut my teeth on MS-DOS 3.0 in a 4.77MHz PC with a monochrome monitor, two floppy drives and no hard disk, it was drilled into me early to save, save, save. It’s just muscle memory for me now.
Writing a whole paper without saving is unimaginable to me.

I think the point is that such a vanishingly small percentage of people know how to do what you suggest (or care at all about privacy yammering) that it’s irrelevant to society’s overall privacy.
