I mean, Microsoft and Apple have career pages stating exactly what is needed. Does Linux have something like this for volunteers? I think it’s just very inaccessible to someone from the outside. Maybe start there, improve the recruitment of volunteers

The point is that “build.sh” implies a single file, which becomes an absolute nightmare to maintain on larger projects
Yeah sure. Try building anything more complex than helloworld.c with a build.sh
It can be helpful though if you just need to find the right library function of proper syntax in a foreign language. Usually faster than a search
