I think this is an excuse. Using the CLI you can easily create and specify the default branch. It’s also not difficult to check the branch name.

I use GitHub and all my older repos have a master branch with no forced change. When did they force a change? I think you are mistaken.
We’re just used to it though. What does master have above main in terms of communicating context?
The word algorithm has a bad reputation here, and there is a lot of abuse in over tuning it, but Reddit does do a better job showing me things I want while showing me bits from other communities. Even though there are 8 sorting algorithms here none of them quite satisfy my want. Scaled is a little closer but gives too many posts from the same community.
Not for us but definitely for others. This kind of scale up pricing is all the rage because it works so well. Either some sucker buys the top thing as a flex or someone sees the $1 as a discount. Either purchase is a win. And us not buying it would be true at almost any price point so no loss of sale there.
Why is Elon Musk in this comment? He’s not Technology news. Get this content out of here!
Is that what you want? But seriously the only time I see complaining is when it’s not actual tech news, just some random ass tweet he put out.
Mr Free Speech Absolutist
Except when it is about me
Except when it is from a competitor
Except when I don’t like it
I got you. I can take their word for it that the disc is perfect but they can’t take mine. Makes sense.
Looking at the disc doesn’t always show damage.
Would GameStop take open box as a new return? No. So they shouldn’t see it as new.
As a consumer I can verify the car is running, the interior still looks fresh, there are no dings, the engine isn’t missing hoses, etc. I can’t verify the disc hasn’t been scratched lightly until I know the disc reads.
Yes we do. New to me is unopened…if you took the plastic off I’m not paying.new. GameStop wouldn’t take this game back as new either.
My mistake I thought they had used it in the kiosk. My point still stands though that someone else opened it, touched it, and I have no way of verifying it’s integrity until I get home. That’s used.
My mistake about your post. But they will sometimes use a disc in the in store kiosk and then sell that as used if it’s the last disc available. At least they used to.
I hate that they do this. You opened it, you touched the disc, the disc was run in a system. That’s not new, that’s not unused. GameStop should have never done this in the first place, and I can’t believe they still do it.
This instance doesn’t support it. So even if your client has it it won’t do anything.
Yeah we really need a downvote button, at least on the posts themselves.
I used to sneak in to E3 in the 2000s when it was industry only. It was always a blast. But I also think this style of show is done for in general. I really like the Nintendo Directs and it seems like other companies have figured out how to do their own version. I also like that we get news throughout the year instead of in May.
My main PC is all white (by coincidence) so I named it Minas Tirith
I’m ready for the nostalgia field trip and getting my butt kicked in multiplayer just like the old days
They never forced a retroactive change
