It’s for getting acquainted with the whole software stack. Also I have enough free time for it :) I’m also very well aware what the difference between a container service and a hypervisor are, I’m just a little overwhelmed by what open stack can do.

I2P isn’t a service if you mean that. It is a whole new network just like the regular clearnet or the tor network.

Your smtp will still be able to connect to other services afaik. Its just about the hosted website.

I just meant it as a static domain to host stuff. If you don’t care about anonymity you can just reduce the hops and it will get fairly stable.

This one will be a bit trickier because of federation. Maybe it is even impossible. But for git hosting, website hosting, email, your cloud, various chats software or torrents it should just work.

For most use cases you can host everything on I2P.

• You need to configure your router or you device to access the I2P net

If you pull that one I’ll kiss your feet. No really, forgejo is a wonderful piece of software. I’m eagerly awaiting their implementation of activitypub so that I can make code imrpovements without having to sing up for thousand services.

Imagine the benefits if the code for your activitypub instances were hosted on an activitypub federated platform. Everyone could participate from the comfort of the fediverse.

I switched to SearXNG and never looked back since. It’s a meta search engine that encompasses multiple other engines like google, bing, ddg, wikipedia, openstreetmaps and many more. You can always select which engines you want to use and the best is that this tool makes your search anonymous. you have to select a server at searx.space and then you right click the url to make it the default search engine on firefox.
