If you’ve played the Momodora games it feels like those. And if you haven’t, I also recommend them.
Camelot
They made the Shining Force and Golden Sun games, both of which I loved, but these days they have been relegated to making the Mario Golf and Tennis games. Which are still pretty good quality, but I miss them making rpgs.
So it’s a brute force approach using automated systems. They mention their method is superior to traditional brute force methods by doing unorthodox things, but the article does not go into detail into how.
I mean, great news if this methodology pans out. There just very little to go off from the article. Either way, seems like a pretty neat testing suite.
I mean, work is work, you don’t get a choice in what product your company uses. My point was meant for personal use.
I’ll second Strawberry. I loved foobar and was worried about losing it when I migrated to linux, but I found Strawberry and it looks and functions just the way I liked foobar.
Dark Souls is kind of a lonely game, I wonder if they’ll recruit some ally npc characters like the Solaire, Siegmeyer and that funny little guy named Patches. Or will they go the Samurai Jack style and revel in the loneliness of the journey.
I fall under Tech Conservative mostly, but I would like to edit the last 2 points to this for myself:

I think it misunderstood the request as a two-handled sword. Easy mistake.
I don’t think other players can see your rdm bar, so they have no way to judge what your next move should be, since there is really no rotation, it’s more of a reactionary class depending in what procs.

I know I don’t want to dual boot permanently, but I had not thought about doing it for just the setup period.
That’s something I want to do, but I’m afraid of missing something while backing up up my files and losing it in the OS wipe. It’s a lousy excuse, I know, but it still stops me. Mostly since I play a lot of games and don’t want to lose any save files tucked away somewhere unexpected.
That stuff should all be in C:/Users, but what if its not. And would have to go to each of my installed pieces of software to make sure any of my files are properly backed up which is so much work. Which only reveals another issue that I am terrible at keeping my stuff backed up.
It took me a while to get into the rhythm of fighting the doll enemies as their movement is really jerky, so its harder to read. Or maybe its the weapon choice that matters here, I picked the Rapier, which I assume is the fastest of the 3 starter weapons. I did not try out the others, so I’m not sure how slow they are.
Some pretty good demos out there:
Lies of P- People said this was like Bloodborne and they were not wrong. I enjoyed this a lot, and that the demo lasted up until the second boss made it fairly meaty.
Fortune’s Run- Interesting pixel art style deus-ex type game. Seems to have a lot of gameplay mechanics, but it was also really hard, I was not able to finish the demo, but I enjoyed what I saw.
En Garde!- Fun sword-fighting action game. The parry system was simple and the use of the environment made fights more interesting. Combat felt a little too samey, unsure if it will expand further as the game progresses.
Goodbye Volcano High- I enjoyed the characters and the voice acting, but the demo was fairly short, so I’m not entirely sure its going to go somewhere interesting, but dinosaurs are cool, so that gives it extra marks.
Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical- Wasn’t sure what to expect from a musical, but it was definitely different. The demo jumps around a bit to different scenes which threw me off, but I liked what I saw and the singing definitely sets it apart.
Eternights- The gameplay and setup seemed interesting, but I was annoyed at how horny the game was. I feel they went way overboard in that department and was their go to for any light-hearted comedy.
Tower Defense? There’s more than just city building on top and dungeon diving underground? How many genres did they throw in this time?
I’m a woman in my mid 30s, I play games. My partner also plays games. My closest friends all play games. All of them 30+ women. I definitely see this as a thing that becomes more common as you go into future generations, not as an age thing. Specially as more and more people grow up surrounded by video games, even if only on their phones.
