Well if I’m going to have to worry about the borg queen trying to crush Unimatrix Zero, forgettaboudit.

I don’t want any prayer. It’s coerced religion.
Fucking hate this. There is a local public meeting that starts with a prayer to the Evangelical God in Jesus’s name that I’m forced to attend because of my job. I hate being essentially compelled to participate in prayer. The SCOTUS precedent supporting this is 100000000% Christian bias.
I was 99% sure it was a photoshop but totally forgot about dead Sam Kirk in TOS Operation Annihilate, and I didn’t realize the nature of this community at the time. :)
Oh my! Thanks for that info, I’ll refresh my memory.
Ah, old Pancho. I remember now. ;)
Wait. What? When do we see JT Kirk’s brother on screen in TOS? Is this real or just a photoshop of Shatner with a fake mustache?
For a second I thought you said “I think it comes from people who CAN tell that something is powered on without seeing an LED indicator.” I thought you were implying you believe those crazy people who can “feel” low-power home wifi etc. from across the house or whatever. I was going to say that double-blind studies fully indicate that these people are batshit. But that isn’t what you were saying, so I won’t.
Is there a performance hit for windows gaming in Linux? I’ve read it’s come a long way but is it virtualization that will bog down on my CPU or is it something else?
Sweet you came back to answer!!! I hadn’t heard of that distro—about every 10 years I mess with Linux and I’m getting close to the 10 year cycle beginning again. Would pop OS work well on an i7-4770 with a GTX 1060ti with 16 gb of ram or is it built for bleeding edge systems?
Every few months Amazon or AliExpress will think I’m German or Spanish with no action on my part whatsoever.
What distro? Mentioning you love Linux but not saying what distro you use is like when someone posts a still frame of a brick wall pulled from their favorite movie, saying “I love this movie, everyone should see it” but doesn’t say the name of the damn movie. :) I’m curious!
I’d say it’s come a long way since Windows 3.1 and the days before PnP, to the point that I can actually clear my print que, where not that long ago clearing your print que seemed to be an option MS offered to allow us to experience the rage that arises from unadulterated powerlessness. Hell, half the time it even switches default printers based on whether I’m at home or the office. Now, if Adobe could make it easier to distinguish from settings that will only work in the printer’s driver settings, vs. the Adobe application’s print settings, we’d be halfway out of perdition.
