Musk won of course…
As usual billionaires buy get their way. Too many people that aren’t brainwashed “conservatives” on there for his liking so he took it over and now look at where we are…

People are such scumbags on Amazon. If you aren’t paying attention and just quickly go to rebuy something like deodorant (like I just did) you can end up spending over $50 for 2 sticks… I had to actually go to the manufacturers page to find what I was looking for as I guess they changed packaging and all the assholes are charging insane prices for the “old style” package.
A humorous follow up response would be “sure, here’s another question: How the hell did they think you were ready to be utilized?”
The only correct answer: “I can answer that for you! The reason they thought I was ready to be utilized by the general public is because money!”
Pretty much. These platforms right wingers take over are propaganda dissemination devices, not entirely “for profit” enterprises anymore.
The company I work for doesn’t advertise, we live and die by our reputation.
Also: ship it, let the customer complain if they find it.
…ffs
“I can grab any piece of shit off the street and replace you in 20 seconds.” Is what most of them think when it comes to meat machine labor like myself. :(
drinks the blood.
NOW I HAVE YOUR WATER!!
it would be nice to see them lower prices and double down on some really cool automation tools, like an automated wrapping machine or maybe something even cooler that just does all our jobs so we don’t have to.
Corporations: “first part: lmao. Second part: we’re working on it, but you’re not going to benefit, just us. As is tradition.”
My friend really needs to learn about this. He works for Intel and does some really involved stuff, I on the other hand am a moronic jackass factory worker.
No friend, I haven’t the slightest idea what you’re trying to tell me you did if you keep using technical terms.
I can’t wait for this to spread to unrelated areas!
Supermarkets maximizing profit: put ads everywhere and hide the most commonly bought foods!
Gas stations maximizing profits: unskippable ads on all pumps, plus the pump stops halfway to make you watch another ad.
Dating apps: oh… They already killed themselves. Swipe swipe swipe swipe. Hide messages. Hide likes. Reduse exposure to profile unless paid member.
I hate this future.
And they all had onions on their belts as was the style at the time.
I think it’s probably better to have taken action as you’ve learned a lot. People like the person you replied to and myself “know” our limitations but then we don’t do anything so you’re 15 years more advanced in your knowledge and I’m 15 years stagnant no better than I was from the start.
To be honest I just see people commenting here and there that xyz game didn’t work for them and they have to jump through a bunch of hoops for what does work that I just write Linux off for now.
That and I tend to like to check out early access games (cough star citizen cough) so I just dont want to limit myself just to give Mi€ro$oft the finger.
Also, (see early access comment) I’m kind of impatient so even though I’m pretty capable, the last thing I want to do is have to be an IT guy for my PC every time something doesn’t work lol windows is pretty good in that respect.
Pretty much the only thing I use my PC for is gaming so it really sucks that I can’t just dump them for Linux…
I don’t want some games. I don’t want to have something I’ve been hyped about be out of reach for God knows how long just because Linux support is crap as the market share is so low, but man do i hate Microsoft…
Yep! The hitchhikers books are so much fun lol
I still think one of my favorite lines is “the ships hung in the sky in much the same way that bricks don’t.”
The more I learn about project managers the more I realize I am a project manager in a factory. Just a criminally underpaid project manager…
We don’t have titles here because god forbid anyone discover what their value actually is.
I think those people tend to make a lot of money off tips. There have been times I could get way more than you’d get from any paycheck a restaurant would ever be willing to pay, even with the laws changed for that sector, for “less” work. Depending on the place you work at you could have $300+ a night cash Friday-Sunday and that’s me going back to what I remember from 12 years ago so who knows what they’re able to get now.
I don’t even make $900 a week now in a psudo-managment position in a factory. Not that the $900 is consistent there for those in food service, I just think that’s one reason people would be openly resistant to the idea of changing how tipping works.
If they were Really Smart™ they would just lable it as a dietary supplement, then all regulation goes out the window and it’s a free-for-all!
This has always been my issue with programming. I can visualize how to build a chair, I know what I need to build it and I know what it needs to do. I know how screws work, and I understand when glue is applied.
But with programming it’s like i know what the word wood is and I know what the word fabric is, but I haven’t the slightest idea how I use any of it to make anything useful. I can’t even start to build a plan because I don’t even know what’s needed for any specific thing.
At least you have an example of what you want to make, I don’t even know what I want to make so it makes “figure it out” even harder lol
“When asked for further comment Microsoft fucknuts replied with: It’s the best part of being a monopoly in the PC market. Don’t like what we’re doing? Where’s the average user going to go, Linux? BWAHAHAHAHA! Hey normies, get fucked and feed my bank account! He then spat on the reporter and gave a small child the middle finger.”
