You Can Help Stop These Bad Internet Bills

Red alert! For the last six months, EFF, our supporters, and dozens of other groups have been sounding the alarm about several #BadInternetBills that have been put forward in Congress. We’ve made it clear that these bills are terrible ideas, but Congress is now considering packaging them together—possibly into must-pass legislation.

There’s a lot of scary ones here for people who like their rights and the way the internet works and has worked for a long time.

    This planned API from Google is something to look out for too.

    Short Version: Have your device verified as “trustworthy” (as in “no adblockers”) by an unspecified 3rd party to access web pages. DRM for your web browsing experience, enforced by god knows who. Unethical. Yuck.
